Academic Honesty

When I was faced with the subject of cheating and success when it comes to the subject of education. My answer for this problem was simple in the end. However it took a lot of thought. The answer for me was no it’s not okay to cheat to succeed in education. This was supported by many thoughts. The first and most important was I was always told not to lie and to me cheating to succeed was the same thing as lying. Another important one was that I knew that if I got caught I would lose my scholarship. So I had to weigh my options. Would I take the fast easy way out and cheat then get caught and ruin my opportunities or would I take the time to do it so that I can still be here tomorrow. Also I had I felt that if I cheated to succeed I wasn’t learning anything and in the end I wasn’t succeeding. Even though I was an athlete with a busy schedule and dreamed of making a living off doing sports I had to think beyond that. I had to think what if I get injured with an injury that ends my athletic career. I had to have something to fall back on. If I cheated in education then I would not have anything to fall back on. So in the end the answer and way I felt about cheating to succeed in education was simple.
